Safety Tips on the first Aids-ridden Soccer World Cup Ever |
|
Since the first news broke of South Africa being the next Soccer World Cup host, for the first time in the Africa, safety concerns were expressed everywhere.
Not that safety concerns were never on the table in the first place though, in South Africa I mean, or Africa for that matter.
Foreign Embassies and Intelligence services are constantly monitoring the status of safety in South Africa and have been advising their citizens appropriately for decades. No surprise there. They generally know more about it than us because the SA Government does not advise their own citizens – interesting.
Also interesting is that the French Government advised of unsafe areas whereas the United States advised against transport. None advised tourists against AIDS or credit card fraud, both conditions being absolutely terrible in South Africa and a sure threat to targeted tourists.
Another threat that nobody talks about is from the notoriously violent and destructive European Soccer fans themselves, commonly known as soccer hooligans. As mentioned above, the SA Government does not warn its own citizens.
It should be interesting to see what happens when hooligan meets aids carrier.
Last but not least, please remember to record confrontations with the SAPS (Police) and collect witness contact details; they (Police) have been recorded on video as egotistical bastards. Be warned and lay charges against them as soon as necessary.
The media will love it.
